KSW Bioenergie GmbH was founded in 2004 and specializes in the field of decentralized, sustainable CO2-neutral energy production from regional biogenic residual and waste materials. As a technology and project developer, KSW has developed the two-stage thermochemical KSW Process® and registered it as a national and international patent.
KSW's reference list includes more than 150 constructed combined heat and power plants (CHP). Among them are, for example, the plants built for the Federal Chancellery and the Houses of Representatives of the Bundestag in Berlin to ensure security of supply. KSW also developed and built the world's first cogeneration plant to run on raw vegetable oil, with an output of 4.3 MWel.
For all essential plant components, KSW works in close cooperation with renowned manufacturers.
KSW is a member of the DIN technical committee for the standardization of OME as a control fuel.
