HEAT
In addition to electricity, climate-friendly heat is generated in KSW climate protection plants. This CO2-neutral heat is generated as waste heat during the process and is available as high-temperature heat (steam) and low-temperature heat (hot water).
The high-temperature heat can serve as process heat in nearby companies and/or drive a steam turbine for additional power generation.
Optionally, this heat can be used for heating and/or cooling (by means of absorption chillers) of buildings via local or district heating networks.

The NTW (low temperature heat) is primarily used for drying the feedstock in a low temperature dryer. The intelligent heat utilization concepts in KSW climate protection plants, which are adapted to the respective conditions, always provide for optimum utilization of the available heat levels.
